Round 4 Saturday
Prescott welcomed us with lovely sunny weather and perfect track conditions.
Christian Ayres arrived in his new GT3 RS, which stood out in its Lizard Green livery and Melvin Spear joined us for the first time this year after his European sojourn.
Unfortunately Robert Lancaster Gaye had to leave us early after the first times runs with him leading class 2 with a time of 48.66, but on the second timed runs Christian Ayres, on his very first visit to Prescott, put in a magnificent effort to take the class win with a time of 47.90 with Robert second with his 48.66 time and Simon Tarling 3rd on 50.57
In class 1 times came down from the off and although both Peter Turnbull and Tim Barber broke the class record and achieved personal best times, it was Paul Howells in his lovely RSR who took the class win with a new record time of 44.79. Peter second on 46.24 just ahead of Tim on 46.59.
ROUND 5 SUNDAY
Another glorious day at Prescott for round 5 of the championship, with everyone hoping to improve their times from the previous day. Simon Tarling in his 996 GT3 breaking the magic 50 second barrier for the very first time with 49.84 run and Mr Consistency Ross McDonald having all 4 timed runs over the two days all within two tenths of one another.
In class 2 Christian Ayres again put in a magnificent effort with a personal best time of 47.81 to take the class win from the very experienced Robert Lancaster Gaye on 48.21 with Simon Tarling 3rd on 49.84.
Paul Howells in his RSR is in fine form at the moment and although Tim Barber did another personal best time in practice, when it counted in the afternoon Paul again pulled out all the stops to take the class win with a time of 44.96. with Peter Turnbull second on 46.72 just squeezing in front of Tim on a time of 46.82.
