First Silverstone Visit for Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge

The Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge is a new series for the 2010 season and provides a home for any racing Porsche GT3 – with grids comprise the exciting 400bhp plus GT3 models that have contested the Porsche Carrera Cup. The series is designed to complement that championship – drivers and teams able to sample circuits in the GT3 Cup before their own championship races there.
The opening two rounds at Brands Hatch in April went to Jim Geddie, the experienced Porsche racer straight on the pace in his 997. Highlighting the driveability of this potent cars was the performance of Stephen Ritchie, who claimed second in both races on his first ever race outing.
Class One caters for the latest 997 GT3 models, with the older 996 GT3s in Class Two.
